Lila Nelson's contributions to and settings of Brecht's lyrics inspire me daily. As Lila's fans well know, her relaxed melodic beauty and musical ease create a sound weave that supports the listener (and performer) like a hammock rocking in the breeze.
Of course, I love and am proud of my own number (Song of Solomon), but I also get to enjoy the live music nightly of the whole music combo. The best perk of being in the ensemble. So there!
